infertile, waiting to adopt
quick version of my story and what i babble about.. i'm 29, married, vegan, and trying to grow our family since feb. '07. it's been years of polycystic ovarian syndrome.. reproductive endocrinologists.. failed ovulation inductions .. two failed IVF cycles.. one failed FET cycle.. injections.. hormones.. tears.. pain.. ups and many downs.. and of course lots of hopelessness. we have finally been broken down by all this and are moving on to adoption (domestic, AAI).. after we pay off our IF bills.. for now i just talk about life after IVF.. and waiting.. you can help us reach our goal by donating and/or buying a Celebrate Adoption! wristband! :)

Emily, I am in the same boat. Hang on and don’t give up hope. The only way I can see my way through this is that God must really want up to adopt. Adoption has always been on my heart since I was a 16 when I first traveled to Haiti and visited the orphanages. So, this is the end of the road as far as fertility treatments go for me. Since China is taking so long we are going to look into other types of adoptions in the interim. I don’t know if I told you but we had a miscarriage seven years ago and have been trying ever since.

*fingers infinitely crossed* It is still early. A lot of pg women don’t get a BFP until 14-16 dpo. I know you’re probably sick of hearing it, but hang in there. Sending love and good thoughts your way.

thanks ladies.. my heart is quite heavy today.. i know it’s still “technically” possible.. but i’m just feeling completely hopeless.

I am sooo sorry to hear your news. I know its hard to feel optimistic when those AWFUL BFN’s appear, but remember, this isn’t the end of the road. ((((HUGS))))
